Ullrich Aluminium Design Division

At the centre of any industrial operation is the design and draughting team. The Ullrich Aluminium design group, based at the Ullexco Extrusion Plant in Hamilton and Kurri Kurri, Australia can be the start of any process found within the various facilities we have in all our main centres. We aim to deliver achievable and quality extrusion profile designs based on the specifications of our current customers and in on-going pursuit of prospective customers.

Using up-to-date CAD software, this department’s focus is on the construction, drafting and assembly of drawings to create functional extrusion profiles and real-life simulations that fit the need and requirements of our customers who stem from both national and international markets.

We have recently made a transition by upgrading our design software system from ‘AutoCAD’ to ‘Inventor/Inventor Vault’. The aim of this upgrade is to transform the design department into a core information focal point from which our entire range of Ullrich Aluminium product can be accessed quickly and easily throughout our operations here in New Zealand & Australia. With the new system in place, we can now offer a much more comprehensive and extended service to our branch managers, sales representatives and ultimately you, our valued customer.

Working closely alongside our nationwide sales team, we have a great deal of client interface which is something we welcome as it allows us the opportunity to contribute to many projects in our area of expertise, namely aluminium extrusion and product.

Our designs can lead to dies being produced in Hamilton and Kurri Kurri, castings in our Dunedin Factory, or complete assembly systems and simulations designed for our Ullrich Manufacturing or Fabrication factories.

We are also focused on the continual upgrade of the company’s technical documentation to ISO 9001 standard.
